On November 8, 2023, ShanghaiRanking, a professional organization for higher education assessment, officially released the “ShanghaiRanking’s 2023 China Ranking of Academic Subjects”. The ranking list comprises 98 first-level disciplines, and each discipline is ranked by all colleges and universities with academic type of graduate degree programs under the discipline. Top 50% of the colleges and universities are ranked for each discipline, with a total of 5,053 disciplines from 485 colleges and universities on the list. The Theoretical Economics discipline of SZU, which was established relying on CCSEZR, ranked 15th or top 20% on the list, up three positions from last year.
