New Book Economic Thought on China's Reform and Opening-up — Recommended by “Xuexi.cn”

On June 30, 2023, “Xuexi.cn” of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee recommended a new book Economic Thought on China's Reform and Opening Up authored by Prof. Tao Yitao, Director of the China Center for Special Economic Zone Research (CCSEZR), Prof. Lu Zhiguo, former Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Economics, and Prof. Wu Fenglan, et.al. Co-authored by Prof. Li Meng, Deputy Director of the College of Economics, Prof. Luo Qinghe, Associate Prof. Duan Jie, Associate Prof. Wu Zunjie, Associate Prof. Zhang Jihai, Associate Prof. Zhang Keting and Dr. Tang Ying, the book was an achievement of major project completion in the key research base for humanities and social sciences under the Ministry of Education,
In the context of China's reform and opening-up, it records the periodization of history from the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the Third Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee. Following the principle and premise of integration of logic and history, this book systematically compiles and summarizes, during the four decades from the year of 1978 to 2018, the historical evolution of economic policies, thoughts and theories in different phases of China's reform and opening-up. It aims to objectively record and study the historical process of the formation, development and improvement of the theoretical systems of political economy with Chinese characteristics and socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics, explore the policy and theoretical veins of the progressive institutional change with Chinese characteristics, and more profoundly demonstrate the reform wisdom of the Communist Party of China and the ideological and institutional strengths of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
