Prof. Tao Visits Beijing Headquarters of San Jie Wai Fine Arts Academy

       On the afternoon of May 20, 2019, Prof. Tao Yitao and Mr. Yang Hanxin from the UK visited the Beijing headquarters of San Jie Wai Fine Art Academy in the company of Chen Zhe, curator of Shenzhen Arts Museum of San Jie Wai Fine Arts Academy. Prof. Tao is the former vice-secretary of the CPC Committee and former secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Shenzhen University (SZU), and now she is director of the China Center for Special Economic Zone Research (CCSEZR) of SZU, president of the Belt and Road Research Institute (BRRI) of SZU and also president of the Belt and Road Research Institute (Shenzhen) for International Cooperation and Development (BRRIICD). After finishing appreciating Chen Fu’s fine artworks and the “Chinese Characters in Pictures” works series, they highly appreciated and admired the dean’s long-term commitment to internationalizing Chinese characters paintings. And they also made a further discussion with the dean on the topic of “internationalizing Chinese characters paintings” and thought highly of his idea of  “breaking the barriers of Chinese character recognition with paintings for internationalization”.
 

       BRRIICD is a novel non-governmental think tank co-founded by Shenzhen Jinglan Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. and CCSEZR of SZU, a key research base of humanities and social science under the Ministry of Education. Wu Xiaolan Charity Foundation invested RMB 120 million in the construction of “Wu Yuzhang Building” with a gross floor area of 15,000 square meters for office, teaching and research accommodation for CCSEZR and BRRIICD.
 

       Prof. Tao is a renowned expert in the field of special economic zones, PhD in Economics, professor and doctoral supervisor. She has served as vice-secretary of the CPC Committee and former secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of SZU, secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Economics, and dean of the School of Economics. She is now the director of CCSEZR, a key research base of humanities and social science under the Ministry of Education, president of the BRRI of SZU and also president of BRRIICD. Long-term research of Chinese and Western economic thoughts and theories has provided her a solid foundation in her career and allowed her to carry out independent, creative research. Her book Commentary on Ancient Chinese Economic Thought was awarded the special prize of excellent works by China Society for the History of Economic Thought.
